We Only Do One Thing: Landlord-Tenant Law

We Only Do One Thing: Landlord-Tenant Law

While some attorneys have broad practices under which they accept a wide variety of cases, we focus exclusively on landlord-tenant law, an area in which we have the necessary knowledge and experience to help our clients achieve their goals. We have pursued hundreds of landlord-tenant cases in the Housing, District, and Superior Courts in Massachusetts, representing both landlords and tenants.

While any attorney can read an applicable statute, the only way to truly understand the nuances of landlord-tenant law is through extensive experience. For example, we are familiar with many of the judges in Housing Court, having appeared before them dozens of times for numerous different motion hearings and trials. We are intimately familiar with the often confusing procedures and technical hurdles that face litigants in summary process (evictions) cases, and have good working relationships with many of the Housing Court personnel, including the various staff, Housing Specialists, and Clerk Magistrates that are involved in every housing case.

We have also tried cases in front of numerous District Court and Superior Court judges and are just as comfortable in those courts as we are in Housing Court.

Please see our areas of practice for more information about the types of cases we accept.
