Mediations/Negotiations
A large majority of summary process cases are settled outside of the courtroom through formal mediation or informal negotiation. This is true whether the underlying case is a Summary Process Eviction, a civil housing case, or a simple hearing for a Temporary Restraining Order or other motion. While the process can be informal, the results can have enormous financial and legal ramifications for the parties. Having the assistance of an experienced negotiator such as Attorney Saccardi, who is familiar both with the substantive housing law that forms the basis of such discussions and the procedure and practical realities that constrain them, gives litigants a significant advantage over the other side.
